Director and writer Vignesh Shivan says he was very conscious while penning lyrics for actor Ajith Kumar-starrer Tamil actioner Yennai Arindhaal.

"When you're writing a song for Ajith's film, it's also for millions of his fans. I was aware of this right from the beginning and that made me very conscious," said Vignesh in a statement.

"Since I was writing for Ajith, I started the song on a positive note with the line Ellamae Inimae Nallathaan Nadakkum (everything that follows will be good)," he said.

He added that the response to the song titled Adhaaru Adhaaru has been overwhelming.

Directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, Yennai Arindhaal is slated for release January 29.

"I've always wanted to assist Gautham. I'm happy that I actually got an opportunity to write for him. It's a dream come true to be associated with him. Gautham and I discussed and made the first draft of the song in the first meeting on sets," he added.

Also starring Trisha Krishnan and Anushka Shetty, the film has music by Harris Jayraj.
