A case of wrongful restraint has been booked against Tollywood producer Bellamkonda Suresh and representative of Manchu Entertainment, N Naidu after they filed complaints against each other, police said on August 28.
"Bellamkonda Suresh, in a complaint lodged with Banjara Hills police station alleged that N Naidu, representative of Manchu Entertainment, restrained him by stopping his vehicle at his house in Film Nagar here yesterday," said inspector P Murali Krishna of Banjara Hills police station.
He said that Naidu too filed a complaint accusing Suresh of not letting him move from the lawns of the former's house where he had gone there to collect money.
"Following the cross complaints, a case was registered against Suresh and Naidu under section 341 (wrongful restraint) of IPC," Krishna said.
It is alleged that Suresh owes Rs 58 lakh to Manchu Entertainment Ltd, owned by Manchu Lakshmi. However, Suresh too claims that Manchu owes him money.

Some representatives of Manchu Entertainment had reached Bellamkonda Suresh's house seeking payment.
The shooting of Suresh's forthcoming Telugu film Rabhasa was held at Gandharvamahal (at Manikonda area), owned by Manchu Lakshmi.
As per reports, the producer had promised to pay the rent once the shooting is complete.
Rabhasa, starring NTR Jr, is set for release on August.
