A 36-year-old woman from Sanchor in Rajasthan has died of swine flu in Ahmedabd civil hospital, health officials said today.
According to the officials, Padmaben Purohit was brought to Ahmedabad civil hospital in a critical condition yesterday at around 1.15 pm and was immediately put on
ventilator.
"She was brought in a critical condition at the hospital and was immediately put on ventilator. She died around 10.30 pm," a health department official added.
The deadly virus has so far claimed 47 lives in Gujarat, which does not include Padmaben's death as she was brought from Rajasthan, the officials said.
