A person was killed and more than 30 persons injured in two separate mishaps in Assam on Thursday, police said.
A handyman(helper) of a truck was killed on the spot when the vehicle was hit from behind by a speeding bus at Kamargaon Tiniali in Golaghat district.
In another mishap, 30 people were injured when a bus and truck collided head-on at Madanpur on National Highway 31 in Kamrup (Rural) district.
The condition of five of the injured were critical and they have been admitted to Guwahati Medical College Hospital.
The bus was on its way to Barpeta from Guwahati.
