Its collaboration with Bajaj auto Ltd may be facing difficulties but Renault Nissan chairman Carlos Ghosn today said that he remained committed to bringing a low cost small car to India as the concept remained very attractive not only for India but globally as well.   "The entry
price point of $ 2,500 (approx Rs 1.17 lakh) is very important for the market not only for India but also for a lot of emerging markets," Ghosn said at the IEC. "We have to bring in the car with the basic feature, basic functionality at a very affordable price. I am stuck into making customers happy  and satisfied and I remain committed to the project."

With Tata Nano already plying on the roads, Ghosn said he expected the Indian car market to grow three-fold to 6 million units from the current 2 million in 10 years.
