Nepal's former King Gyanendra Shah, his wife Komal and four other family members are likely to attend a marriage function in Bhubaneswar on December 10, royal family sources said. However, Gyanendra and family members are unlikely to visit Shri Jagannath Temple at Puri where the royal
family had exclusive right to offer puja to the Lord, they said.

"We are yet to be informed on the proposed visit of Nepal's former king to the state," an official of the Shri Jagannath Temple Administration said.

The former king would attend marriage of Rajysree Bhanja Deo, the daughter of erstwhile Mayurbhanj kingdom's scion Praveen Chandra Bhanja Deo, also a minister in the Naveen Patnaik council of ministers.

"King Gyanendra and family will come here on a special flight. I do not know whether the king has any other engagement in the state or in the country", Praveen Chandra Bhanja Deo told PTI adding that arranegements had been made for the stay of the royal family at a posh hotel here.

Bhanja Deo's daughter is marrying Jaisingh Rathore, a scion of erstwhile Jhabua royal family in Madhya Pradesh.
