Yash Birla Group company Melstar Information Technologies has entered into a deal with Australia-based  Mastersoft Research to foray  into the Software as a Service (SaaS) arena. The application management organisation would implement Mastersoft’s customer information and data quality solutions in India.

“India is on the verge of data revolution. There is a need for customer data for better service Software as a service is gaining,” said Richard D’Souza, chief executive officer, Melstar. “The company will target banking, insurance and telecom sectors,  as well as the government.”

Mastersoft’s Harmony series of customer data quality products is designed to help organisations address problems of customer information integrity, compliance requirements and customer expectations.

Yashovardhan Birla, chairman, Yash Birla Group and Susan Hayland, chief executive officer, Mastersoft Research signed the deal.
