Tight security arrangements have been made for the IPL match being played between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kings XI Punjab teams at the Chinnaswamy stadium Bangalore on Monday, a top police official said. As many as 1,200 police personnel, apart from 10 platoons of Karnataka
State Reserve Police (KSRP) had been deployed to ensure smooth conduct of the match, Addtional Commissioner of Police (Law & Order) M R Poojar told PTI today.

All spectators would be thoroughly checked using metal detectors and all articles, including match boxes, that can be used as a missile would not be allowed.

The Union Home Ministry had earlier this month issued an alert for Bangalore along with Mumbai and Kolkata saying these cities could be targeted by terrorists.
