Actor Rahul Bose dropped in and socialite Bina Ramani slipped out when Dalrymple was in the middle of his reading. Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali arrived when it was all over and the author was busy signing copies. At one point during the evening, TV presenter Vinod Dua was spotted flipping through a Dalrymple book. Earlier, when guests were still streaming in, artist Olivia Fraser was overheard talking about her illustrations that were on display at the venue. Other guests included Tina Tahiliani, Caroline Young, Nida Mahmood, Raul Chandra, and Aniruddha Bahal.
