NIA probes Headley's role in terror acts, conducts raids

Intensifying its probe into the alleged role of suspected American terrorist and LeT operative David Headley in the Mumbai terror attacks, a team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday conducted raids at several places in the city. The NIA carried out searches
at various places in south Mumbai and western suburbs of the city, sources said.

Two hotels in south Mumbai have also been searched, they said, adding the team is in the city as part of its probe in the Headley case.

The NIA has registered a case against Headley and his Canadian accomplice Tahawwur Hussain Rana in connection with terror attacks in India including the 26/11 Mumbai attack.
