BJP will rope in its Hindutva faces -- Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and MP Varun Gandhi -- in its election campaign in Jharkhand. "All the BJP Chief Ministers, including Narendra Modi, will campaign in Jharkhand. Varun Gandhi will also be campaigning," BJP vice-president Mukhtar
Abbas Naqvi told reporters in reply to a question.

The BJP is contesting 67 of the 81 assembly seats in the mineral-rich state and has left 14 for its NDA ally JD(U). Both the parties have also decided to hold more than three-dozen joint rallies and public meetings in the run-up to the polls. The campaign will kick-off on November 21.

"On November 21, BJP and JD(U) will hold three big joint rallies each by L K Advani-Sharad Yadav and Rajnath Singh-Nitish Kumar," Naqvi said.

Interestingly, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who is making efforts to get close to the minorities, had told BJP not to send Modi to campaign in his state during the recent Lok Sabha polls.

The main target of the BJP campaign will be the Congress. "The Jharkhand elections are important due to the recent events, especially the Congress-sponsored corruption of (former CM) Madhu Koda which has crossed all limits," Naqvi said.

"I believe Koda is the transformer of corruption and the real power station is the Congress," Naqvi said.
