Leader of Opposition L K Advani today again favoured simultaneous elections to Lok Sabha and state Assemblies to save money.

"It is very essential to hold simultaneous elections and reduce the cost of elections. I have spoken to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Finance minister Pranab Mukherjee in this regard," Advani, accompanied by JD(U) president Sharad Yadav, told newsmen in Bokaro.

The senior BJP leader, who was in Bokaro to address election meetings, said his party would support a bill on this if moved.

Advani also charged the Congress with rampant corruption in Jharkhand, but did not elaborate on it.

The JD(U) president said the people have been shaken by corruption and price rise.

"If the NDA is voted to power, Jharkhand will be developed on the Bihar model," Yadav added.
