A 27-year old woman, believed to be "dead and buried" by her parents, was traced with a man, allegedly with whom she had eloped last year, in Kerala's Pathanamthitta district, police said on Shiny, wife of a daily-wage earner and mother of three, went missing from their home in August
2009 after she eloped with their neighbour, Kalesh (30), they said.

They were arrested after Kalesh's mobile phone was traced by cyber crime experts to Mannarakkulanji, police said.

Shiny's parents had recovered a body from a lake at near Paravur 10 days back and buried it thinking it was hers, they said.

Though her parents had filed a complaint with police, she could not be traced. Ten days back, a body was found floating in the lake, which bore resemblance to her features.

Police then informed her parents who also thought it was their daughter who had drowned. They took the body home and buried it.

In a dramatic turn in the case, the cyber wing of police got a clue about the cellphone number of Kalesh two days back and traced the area where he was living.

They then alerted the police station where Shiny's parents had lodged a complaint.

A police team soon set out for Pathanamithitta and found them staying in a cottage inside a rubber estate.
