The resident editor of the Sangli edition of Marathi daily Sanatan Prabhat, Prithviraj Hazare, was arrested on Tuesday for violating the model code of conduct during the Assembly elections.
The Miraj police said an offence has been registered against Hazare for campaigning for a candidate of a particular community during the polls.
Hazare has been remanded in police custody for three days.
