A total of 2,06,777 students submitted their forms for admission to junior college through the online process that ended on Monday. Between 7 pm on Monday, when the department last tabulated the forms for the day, and the midnight deadline, 275 students submitted their forms.

Students are anxiously awaiting the merit list, the first of which will be for vocational streams and will be out on July 30. Students will receive an SMS informing them if they have made it to the first merit list of their preferred college.

They will also be able to check their status by logging on to www.fyjc.org.in. Colleges will put up their lists on their premises too.

Last year 2,44,694 students submitted forms online, about 38,000 more than this year. This is because admissions for in-house students and night junior colleges were conducted offline this year.
