Nepal's Maoist party chief Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda,' who shook a leg with an actress on the streets of Kathmandu in December, is these days doing the disco with former US vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin in cyberspace.
A 38-second video posted on YouTube 16 days ago shows a
couple dancing with faces of the Himalayan nation's former prime minister and the ex-Governor of Alaska pasted on them. It's one of the most popular of the over 300 Prachanda videos on the site.
Till Thursday afternoon, the video that has been categorized under political humour and given five star rating had been viewed 13,364 times while Prachanda's dance with actress Rekha Thapa had been seen 9174 times.
The Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) chief has been shown dressed in a brown floral shirt with white sneakers and formal trousers that were in fashion in the 80s and Palin is wearing a dark brown knee-length evening dress.
Another 34-second video lampooning Prachanda shows him and his deputy Baburam Bhattarai with large wigs dancing to a disco number in a club. This one is not as popular as the one with Palin and has been viewed only 298 times.
Prachanda who stepped down as prime minister in May last year is busy these days trying to regain the post one more time. In recent weeks he has launched an anti-India tirade to boost his party's image.
Palin on the other hand decided not to seek reelection as Alaska governor after her failed vice-presidential bid and signed a contract with Fox News earlier this month to provide political commentary as contributor.
