Three men have been arrested for allegedly beating up two medical students from Manipur on Thursday. The speedy arrests were made after the Delhi Chief Minister’s office intervened and asked the police to act swiftly in the case. Police said the fight started after one of the
accused threw a chicken dumpling, also known as momo, at Yungshum Thung.

According to police, Thung, a medical student of Dayal Singh College and Nuito Chisi, a student of Vardhman Medical College, were later beaten up and hit on the nose with a brick. The fight started after one of the boys said something to the victims.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) HGS Dhaliwal said, “We have arrested Sumit, Suresh and Shahrukh Khan in the case. They are being charged under the relevant sections.”

The police said all the three are residents of Ravi Dass Nagar in the area.

A senior officer from the CM’s office has spoken to one of the office bearers of Naga Students Union Lucky Mukato and has assured of all possible help in this case.
