Nearly 170 Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel are providing protection to Infosys Technologies and the Electronic City in Bangalore, the parliament was told on Wednesday.
Following the 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai, the government promulgated an ordinance to provide
paramilitary security cover to critical installations of national importance in the private sector, Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Maken told the Rajya Sabha.
Private sector companies are required to pay for the security cover.
