Despite repeated warnings of action the Congress has decided to be "patient" with its defiant MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in view of the emotional overtones of his yatras in memory of his father Y S Rajashekhara Reddy. "His behaviour has not been normal. His father's accidental death is an
emotional issue for him. It is also a loss for the party. The party had offered that it (distribution of money or yatra) should be done by the party and not an individual. But he was misguided that it will make him a leader. However party will not like to hurt or harm him.
That is why we have decided to be patient," said sources.

The comments are significant as they came when Jagan defied the party diktat for the third time to resume his controversial odarpu (consolation) yatra to condole with the families of those who committed suicide after his father and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister died.

Conscious of the party's views on the issue, state leaders have by and large stayed away from Reddy's yatra.
