For Rs 10,000 they promise you a lucrative job in one of India’s most successful public undertakings. The lure of a job in Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is so great that hundreds of applicants fall in the traps of these agents. These nameless agents give advertisements in national
dailies to make it look legit. The DMRC has issued an advisory warning public against such false claims. It has also registered a case with the police.

"These advertisements claim that they can provide jobs for a commission and take part of the commission upfront. These agents mostly operate from rented offices and after they have collected a large some of money they disappear," said a senior police officer on condition of anonymity, as he is not authorised to speak to the media.

DMRC spokesman Anuj Dayal said, "Every advertisement for recruitment is

printed in the Employment News. The selection process consists of written tests and interviews. Such advertisements are bogus."
