Thursday's heavy rains not only brought Delhi's road traffic to its knees, it also disrupted flight movement at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport.
The rain coincided with the morning peak hour resulting in diversions, delays and heavy congestion. Sources said runway 29
remained closed for more than 30 minutes because of poor visibility and wet surface. Three flights had to be diverted while another 25 got delayed due to congestion.
