The Delhi High Court on Tuesday restrained former Union Minister George Fernandes wife Leila Kabir from taking him outside New Delhi. Justice V K Shali passed the order on a suit filed by the brothers of Fernandes seeking to restrain both Kabir and her son Sean from taking Fernandes
outside the capital.

The brothers - Richard and Machael Fernandes - also sought unrestrained access to their ailing brother who is currently with Kabir and is suffering from advanced Alzheimer's disease.

The Court rejected the argument of Kabir's counsel that in view of his failing health, the 78-year old socialist leader needed to be taken to the US for treatment.

The next day date of hearing has been fixed for April 26.

Richard had complained to the Delhi Police Commissioner about the alleged "illegal and high handed" behaviour of the security personnel provided to the ailing leader.
