Since Friday, the six touch screen information kiosks installed to update people about the
status of allotments and payments have also been providing other information.
Due to a technical glitch, the kiosks are redirecting users to a private search site when they press on the option to visit the official DDA website, forwarding users to www.ddadelhi.com instead of the official site www.ddadelhi.org.in.
The kiosks are supposed to help consumers find out information about the status of their allotment, payments, instalments and more.
The kiosks were installed more than five years ago. Strangely, no one in DDA seem to have noticed the glitch despite the kiosks being installed at the reception — the busiest part of the seven-storey building that witnesses a footfall of 700 visitors everyday.
"This must be a recent problem due to some virus or other technical issue," a DDA spokesperson said.
