Eleven Shia rebels were killed in fighting with the security forces in Yemen's northern Saada province, the army said on its website on Saturday.
In one incident, five insurgents were killed when they attempted to sneak into al-Maqash and al- Aqab sites in Saada province, Xinhua reported.
Six more rebels were killed when they tried to enter the Daris hill area.
