Six police officers are yet to be arrested in the alleged fake encounter of suspected Chhota Rajan aide Ramnarayan Gupta alias Lakhan Bhaiyya but they have gone underground. Special public prosecutor J.N. Mishra said this while opposing the bail plea of dismissed encounter specialist
Pradeep Sharma, the main accused in the case. Mishra told the sessions court that six police officers are absconding and Special Investigation Team (SIT) is trying to trace them. Mishra argued that Sharma should not be granted bail as his release would hamper the investigation and will make difficult to arrest the absconding accused.

Meanwhile, a man was arrested on Wednesay from Gujarat in connection with the alleged fake encounter of Ramnarayan Gupta. “We have arrested Sunil Solanki from Godhra for his role in the killing of Ramnarayan Gupta,” Deputy Commissioner of Police K Prasanna said.
