Low-cost carrier SpiceJet Ltd said it does not plan to cut air fares even as jet fuel prices in the domestic market have been slashed by 16 per cent from Monday.

"We need at least 2-3 months of stability of prices before we go back and revise. As of Monday, we are not doing anything," Partha Sarathi Basu told Reuters over the telephone.

State-run Indian Oil Corp cut domestic jet fuel prices by 16 per cent with effect from Monday as international crude oil prices have fallen by a fifth from an all-time high of over $147 in mid-July.
