Love can make you a believer, love can make you crazy, love can make you do things that you never thought could be possible. And love can even slow you down! Or so says a recent research.
If you're bored of playing the 'he-loves-me, he-loves me not' game, take your guy out for a walk. The study, put together by Seattle Pacific University, US, claims that when men have a romantic interest in the women they are walking with, they walk slow to match her pace.
The paces of friends of same sex walking together does not change, suggesting that people only adjust their pace for romantic partners. And women do find a slow walk romantic. "Walking slowly holding hands, as if you have all the time in the world, stopping to gaze into each other's eyes, talking about all things nonsensical is so utterly romantic," says Naina Kaur, dance teacher.
Agrees Karmic healer Tripti Tandon, "The very act of walking is a rhythmic meditation that helps you hear yourself think. When you share this activity with a loved one, your conversation adds a therapeutic element as well. You feel refreshed and renewed. Walking produces happy hormones in the body. This may not be a cardiovascular exercise, but it does increase your hearts capacity for love," she says.
