Next week, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Godwin and Scarlett Johannson find out that their boyfriends are just not that into them. Taking off on the Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo’s bestseller, He’s just not that into you the movie, like the book, explores the unsaid rules of the dating game. Helping women to read the signs when men are just not interested, the book offers a series of warnings.
Here are 10 signs that tell you if the boy you’ve recently started dating is just not that into you
He doesn’t return your calls: If you’re the only one leaving messages and calling every 3 hours, it might be time to step back.
You’re his last-minute girl: If he’s calling at short notice each time he’s obviously with you because he has nothing better to do.
He’s making excuses, always: If he’s always busy with something else, always preoccupied while you’re talking, he probably just doesn’t find you interesting enough.
He is god: Are his preference paramount? Are you always planning to do what will please him while he never asks what you want to do?
Never meets your friends: Despite eight amazing dates with you, he is afraid of meeting your friends? Does he make excuses every time a birthday or an impromptu plan comes up?
Never makes you meet his friends or family: This is important. He could be hiding a wife or a nasty secret. Or he is ashamed of you and doesn’t want people to know he’s with you.
He doesn’t make any references to the future: Two months, 12 dates and several conversations later, he still never makes plans for holidays together or make references to coming months, let alone a future.
Will not give you a cell phone number or even let you peek at his messages or call history: It’s a warning, duh! He’s hiding something.
Flirts with your friends all the time: Even if he is into you and scores a 9/10 with just this one crossed out, sorry, he’s got to go.
He’s always making references to his ex-girlfriend: Do you want a third wheel in your relationship?
