A new British survey looking at couples' sexual activity over time turned up some interesting conclusions.
According to the research, 15 percent of those in the first 12 months of a relationship have sex every day, compared to just five percent of other couples. The research, reported in The Daily Mail in the UK, was carried out for Lloydspharmacy Online Doctor and involved 2,000 respondents.
For couples who had been together for up to four years, more than half said they had sex a few times a week, but that dwindles down to just a few times a month for 43 percent of people together longer. Of couples in relationships lasting more than 15 years, 15 percent said they have sex just a few times a year.
Forty percent of those surveyed said that their sex life was just "OK" and could be better, and 76 percent said that they could try a little harder.
Seventeen percent said that they turned off the lights to get into the mood, while another 24 percent said that they dressed up.
