A new website that records every tweet published and is subsequently deleted by politicians on social blogging site Twitter, was launched recently.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the new site, called Politwoops, launched by Sunlight Foundation, already has over 300 pages of collected tweets from members of US Congress, the president and other presidential hopefuls.
Politwoops records the deleted tweet and the time it was tweeted. The site also includes pages for each politician and allows users to sort tweets by political parties.
"From minor typos to major gaffes, Politwoops is now there to offer a searchable window into what they hoped you didn't see,"
states a Politwoops press release.
Politwoops is based on a site run in The Netherlands by the Open State Foundation to track its own politicians.
