Code has been uncovered in the beta edition of Apple’s latest mobile operating system that suggests the social network for business people and general internet users that need a break from cat videos will be built into the final release.

The beta code references first reported on by Electronista hint that LinkedIn will receive the same level of cross app and cross sytem support currently enjoyed by Facebook and Twitter on iPhones, iPads and iPod Touch devices.

However, the tech site is also quick to point out that this integration is far from guaranteed in the final consumer release as a number of code strings are currently missing.

At the moment, iPhone and iPad users can Tweet or post to Facebook from other iOS apps, can access either service from the notification screen and only need to sign in once to be up and running on all services.

Following rumors earlier this year, similar code references have been spotted for Flickr – the Yahoo photo-sharing and social networking platform and Vimeo, the Youtube video challenger.

Still, a lot can change between now and autumn when the update is expected to go live and become available for download to existing iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch owners. Code supporting integration for Facebook was first included in the beta edition of iOS 4 yet was pulled before its public release in June 2010.
