Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan will leave for their honeymoon on the evening of April 26, sources close to the family have disclosed. But they were unwilling to say where exactly the star couple would be headed.

"It is a closely held family secret," the sources told the Hindustan
Times
. They were certain, however, that the duo would set up home at Jalsa, the property the family bought to make room for Amitabh Bachchan's ailing parents, Teji and the late Harivash Rai at Prateeksha, the venue of the much-celebrated April 20 wedding.

In fact, it was at Jalsa that Aishwarya cooked the customary first meal for close relatives and family friends after the bidaai ceremony at her parents' home on Saturday. Among those who partook of the north Indian cuisine were Jaya's mother, sisters and brothers-in-law besides Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh and his wife Pankaja.

A source close to Abhisekh's childhood friend Sikander Kher, who was present with his mother Kiron Kher, claimed that Aishwarya cooked halwa for the family elders. He said Jalsa would be Ash-Abhi's new home though the family has also purchased a property adjacent to it.

Initially, the Big B had considered releasing some pictures of the wedding immediately after the ceremony, and pose for the media with his son and the bahu at a balcony of his residence. But he abandoned these plans after a section of the media sought to scandalize his son and daughter-in-law by playing up the Jahanvi episode and flashing Ash's pictures with Salman Khan.

The family felt that the Jahanvi incident was orchestrated by some mediapersons in cahoots with their rivals, political or otherwise, to draw them out of their privacy to contradict her allegations against Abhishek and Amar Singh. "The family decided to give the media a royal ignore rather than walking into their trap," said a family friend.
