Asserting that the LJP, SP and RJD combine were in a direct fight with the BJP in the ensuing Parliamentary elections, Ramvilas Paswan on Friday criticised the saffron party for its 'anti-minority approach'. Claiming that the sole motive of the (BJP) party was to divide the country on
communal lines, the LJP president told an election rally in Jamshedpur that he was proud of the minority community as they had protected the country during wars.

Addressing an election meeting at Gandhi Maidan, Paswan blamed the Jharkhand government of not being keen to take up the matter of the proposed expansion plan of Bokaro Steel Plant.

"The Steel Authority of India owned-steel plant has a 12 million tonne expansion proposal and approached the state government for allotment of iron-ore mines, but without success because of the Jharkhand government's approach," he alleged.

Paswan promised that LJP would initiate steps to make mineral-rich Jharkhand a number one state of the country, if they are voted to power.
