Armed activists of CPI(Maoist) blasted a government building proposed as a polling centre at a village in Bihar's Aurangabad district on Monday, Superintendent of Police Ravindran Shankaran said.

Around 100 ultras raided the community centre at Pandu village and blew it up by detonating dynamites, Shankaran said. Raids were on to apprehend those involved in the incident, the SP said, adding no casualties were reported in the blast.

The Maoists had earlier blown up government schools and Anganbadi centre in Jamui, Munger, Aurangabad and Gaya districts and given a call for boycotting Lok Sabha elections.
