Indian challenge ended in the table tennis event of Olympics after Achantha Sharath Kamal meekly surrendered 1-4 to Austria's Chen Weixing in the second round clash of the men's singles event in Beijing on Wednesday.
Not looking in good touch the Chennai paddler struggled to get his rhythm and was outplayed 5-11, 12-14, 2-11, 11-8, 10-12 by his Austrian opponent.
Chen played an attacking game and the Indian wilted under pressure, struggling to get his placements right.
The Indian, undone by his unforced errors, could manage to win just one game in the match, which lasted just 32 minutes.
Neha Aggarwal has already crashed out of the women's singles event after losing her first round match.
