Mayawati-led BSP government in Uttar Pradesh is responsible to revoke NSA on BJP candidate from Pilbhit Varun Gandhi, the UPA government has no role in it, AICC secretary said on Thursday. Talking to reporters in Vadodara this evening, P Sudhakar Reddy said UPA government has no role in
imposing NSA against Varun Gandhi, it is the Mayawati government which has booked him for his hate speech against minorities.

Referring to Varun’s controversial speech, he said, no one should make hate speeches against any community or individual.

On BJP leader Sushma Swaraj’s statement that NDA will not get majority at the Centre, Reddy said this shows that the saffron party has already accepted its defeat at the hustings.

He also said more central funds were allotted by the UPA government than the funds allotted during the NDA regime. He also demanded a ‘white paper´ from the Narendra Modi over the allocation of Central funds to the state.

He criticized Modi for making false claim on providing of 24 hours uninterrupted power supply to the farm sector in the state, saying the farmers are struggling to get power for six hours in a day.

Congress has fielded 440 candidates on its own for the Lok Sabha poll and the party-led UPA under Manmohan Singh’s prime ministership will form the government, Reddy said.
