Dheeraj Dixit thinks pen is mightier than the camera. The freelance photographer accused of being Mohammad Asif's Indian link in the match-fixing racket by the player's former girlfriend, Veena Malik, says he has already started working on a book that will reveal everything. Dixit told
HT from London that this is the best way of clearing his name, which has been tarnished by "Malik's accusations". He said the writing part will be done "in the next two weeks". He is expecting the book to be out by the end of this month.

"I will write about my association with Asif, why I met him in Bangkok (Malik claims something fishy took place when Asif met Dixit there) and also about what she told me over phone when I was in Dhaka in January (Dixit claims Malik wanted to sell match related information to Indian bookies through him)."

The New Delhi-based photographer refused to disclose more about the content of his book. He claimed to have received offers from several publishers in India and that he is yet to choose one. "That will be done in a day or two. The book will be in English and translated in Hindi afterwards." The title of the book is yet to be finalised.

Dixit plans to stay in London till the end of the limited-over series between England and Pakistan. He did not get accreditation to cover the matches but said that some "off the field" shoots will keep him busy. His photography isn't restricted to cricket, he said, and claimed to have worked for some noted industrialists in England.

"I haven’t done anything wrong. I have experienced the worst time of my life in the last few days (since Malik mentioned his name following the spot-fixing controversy). I don't deserve this and I expect people to form an opinion about me after they read my book. It's sure to cause a stir."
