Congress sets up 2014 poll panel

Minister of State of Environment and Forests Jairam Ramesh will be the convenor of a small group which will coordinate activities of the Congress party for the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, a statement said on Saturday.

According to the statement, Congress president Sonia Gandhi approved the setting up of the group which will serve as the secretariat for the party's election coordination committee, headed by vice president Rahul Gandhi.
