It's a small but significant gesture. The Kings XI Punjab have spared a thought for those who are the driving force behind the game but are generally ignored and left to fend for himself — the spectators.

The franchise is running a fleet of shuttle buses from various parts of the city to ferry spectators right to the gate of the stadium. And then, when the game gets over, the spectators can hop back into the buses without having to bother about finding transport at midnight.

“The service will be available for all five home matches. This has been done to facilitate easy transport for spectators,” a KXIP official said. Besides, spectators, to their surprise, will find volunteers from local colleges and universities at the gates welcoming them.
