Virender Sehwag, who was rested by the selectors for the Asia Cup, on Saturday refused to comment on his fitness condition and instead said it has to be directed to the board. Asked on how he was fit to be playing a day before the selection committee meeting but not for the Asia Cup, he said: "You should ask the BCCI about it."
The flamboyant opener also denied of any rift within the Indian team. "There is no fight within the Indian team and it's all created by the media", said Sehwag. He also dismissed Greg Chappell's statement saying, "I have always said I never want to be the captain. I am a senior player and I just want to score runs for the team irrespective of whether I am a vice captain or not."
