Kings XI Punjab's full-time captain Adam Gilchrist, who is recovering from hamstring injury, is still not sure of playing Tuesday's match against Deccan Chargers.
He told reporters after the team's practice session at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Monday that
he would have a "critical look" on Tuesday morning before taking a call.

The former Aussie opener is, however, confident of playing the next match.

Gilchrist had suffered an injury during the match against Kolkata Knight Riders at Mohali April 18.

In his absence, his compatriot David Hussey is leading the side.

Gilchrist, whose team has 10 points from 11 matches, said they were still in the race for play-offs.

He said the team won some big games against Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

He, however, said the search for consistent performance was continuing.

He lauded the contribution of young players like Mandeep Singh and Soni.

"It's another game," said the wicket keeper about Tuesday's match against Deccan Chargers, the team which he led to 2009 IPL title in South Africa.

He said he expected a good contest. "I am happy to be back in Hyderabad. I always enjoyed playing here," he added.
