Mohammad Yahya, a Bollywood spot boy arrested by the Delhi Police in Hyderabad on Friday, has told investigators that he had arranged for a meeting between a bookie and six players of a team to facilitate match-fixing, not just spot-fixing.

“Chandresh Patel, one of the bookies we have arrested, wanted to fix an entire match,” a senior Delhi Police officer said. “He tried contacting several players but failed. Someone suggested he contact Yahya, who finally put him in touch with some cricketers. We will now interrogate them.”

The police refused to name the players as investigations are still underway but said that they have played international cricket.
The officer said he would not rule out the possibility of the involvement of foreign players in the fixing scandal, as Yahya revealed that he was also in the process of arranging a meeting between Patel and some foreign players of the team.
