I feel privileged and truly blessed to a part of the Lotus Valley International School Gurgaon, the school that has made a difference to my life, so that I can make a difference to the society.

As a student here today, I feel extremely confident to address any major issue cropping up in the society. The school has been a catalyst of change to transform our hearts and mind to become sensitive towards the major problems of health and environmental issues, issues of poverty and economic growth, issues of child labor and unemployment and most importantly issues of caste discrimination and sexual abuse towards children.

The school has adopted some nearby parks, which are constantly taken care off by the school by promoting the tree plantation drive by us students to promote the need and awareness to save our environment and its natural resources. The students carriedthe drive to save paper and make use of recycled paper.

Throughout the school premises we have taps with sensors to avoidunnecessary wastage of water. The children and the school organized a camp for free medical checkup and a blood donation camp to promote health awareness among the students and the weaker section of the society. My school has also tied up with certain NGO's to for supporting the under privileged in getting basic elementary education.

We as students are being exposed to the problems of abuse towards children and the problem of child labor through various workshops being organized by the school. Our Principal ma'am, who is our guiding light and mentor, is a role model for every child in terms of promoting good moral and social values.

She carries compassion in her heart and conviction in her eves to achieve the unachievable through hard work. I have learnt from her that being a responsible and a balanced person is the most important thing in life and that we carry these values through our lives and contribute in many big and small ways to improve the society we live in.
