Oscar-nominated Argo is a film based in a time when the Iranian revolution is reaching a boiling point.

The Oscars are taking place on Sunday, February 24, and everyone is wondering who will win this year's awards. Even Google has outlined its predictions. Google's predictions are based on search volume, as tracked by Google Trends, for each nomination or nominee across a selection of

award categories. The predictions are part of a much larger site for Oscar information created by Google in collaboration with the Academy, to be found at google.com/oscars.

The predictions provided by Google for this year's Oscars, based on search volume for each nominee/nomination, recorded at 1:30pm GMT on February 22, are as follows:

Best Picture: Argo
Best Actor in a Leading Role: Hugh Jackman
Best Actress in a Leading Role: Jennifer Lawrence
Best Actor in a Supporting Role: Christoph Waltz
Best Actress in a Supporting Role: Anne Hathaway
Best Director: Steven Spielberg
