National award winning actor Mithun Chakroborty, an avid football fan, is a die-hard supporter of Spain in the FIFA World cup, starting on Friday in South Africa.
"My favourite team is Spain. I am sure Spain will lift the cup this time," Mithun, 62, who was in the city to promote his new Bengali movie Shukno Lanka, told reporters.
He said he would take some time out from his busy schedule to watch the matches.
Speaking about his new films, Mithun said he is returning to comedy after two decades with director Rohit Shetty's Golmaal 3. "I will start my work on a new film by Mahesh Manjrekar. I am also working on Golmaal 3."
One of the best dancing stars of his time, Mithun gave hits like Surakshaa (1979), Disco Dancer (1982), Dance Dance (1987) and Agneepath (1990). He also won three National Awards.
Recently he was seen in films like Veer and Luck.
