Self-goal by Café Rio: Gaurav Kapoor, John Abraham jokes flood Twitter

John Abraham's newest role, as a football expert on Sony Six's live pre-game show Cafe Rio on Thursday night, seems to have scored a self-goal even before the Fifa World Cup began on Thursday night. Going by the jeers the all boy's club generated on Twitterland, this was by far the worst kick off to the greatest show on earth. The 41-year-old Bollywood actor, a self-proclaimed football fan, couldn't contribute much other than "commenting" on the beautiful crowd (read women) in the stadium during the show.

Thanks to his inane 'discussion' with the other two panelists, which included international footballers Peter Crouch and Mikael Silvestre, even host Gaurav Kapoor's name was trending on Friday morning, well above the recently-appointed Infosys CEO, Vishal Sikka. In fact, many fans even tweeted that the panel absolutely killed the mood and made them "sleepy".

Abraham and Kapoor were also the subject of jokes on Twitter. Here are a few samples.
