Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale has reportedly received a death threat by an anonymous caller over his proposed move to Real Madrid. According to the Daily Star, the brief message came in a telephone call to the Spurs training ground in Enfield, Middlesex, on Sunday around tea-time.
Sources close to Bale said that the threat has been taken seriously and security has been stepped up in the light of it, although the report mentioned that the Welshman was not at the training ground when the call was made.
Meanwhile, the report said that Bale unhappy with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy's attempt to block his rumoured 105 million-pound move to Real Madrid and was ready to shun training this week, although it added that the player turned up for training on Monday.
However, the report said that it is widely expected Bale, last season's triple award-winning player, will get his dream move.
