FC Dynamo Kiev's youth side put six past a hapless Sports Hostel, Tamil Nadu, to cruise into the junior (under-17) boys' final of the 53rd Subroto Cup at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Saturday.

With this win, the team from Ukraine have now scored 29 goals in just five matches without conceding even once. They now face MSP High School, Kerala in the final on Monday.

AIFF concerned about referee incident
Kolkata: AIFF general secretary Kushal Das said Subroto Cup organisers could face strong action after Fifa referee Arumughan Rowan was assaulted by a player of Esteqlal High School, Kabul. "We will inquire into the incident and if required, take strong action against the organisers," said Das. Rowan was in charge of the Argentina-Venezuela friendly in Kolkata in September 2011, Lionel Messi's only match in India so far.

Beckham's LA Galaxy likely to be in India
Kolkata: I-League champions Dempo could play a friendly against David Beckham's Los Angeles Galaxy on December 7 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. An Indian event management company has held talks with the Major League Soccer club and has selected Dempo as opponents. Certain details including the mandatory clearance from the AIFF are yet to be finalised but is expected to be completed next week.

India to play two friendlies
Kolkata: India could take on Singapore and Vietnam in away international friendlies on October 16 and 19 respectively, AIFF general secretary Kushal Das said on Saturday. With no I-League matches from October 13-27, the AIFF want the national team, who retained the Nehru Cup earlier this month, to get some much-needed international exposure.
