Defending champions East Bengal defeated Mohun Bagan 4-2 in penalties after playing out a 1-1 draw for 120 minutes in the semi-final of the IFA Shield in Kolkata on Sunday.
CS Sabeeth scored for Mohun Bagan in the 46th minute but a brilliant goal by Australian striker Andrew
Barisic helped East Bengal restore parity in the 88th minute.
During the shootout East Bengal goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu fended off Mohun Bagan striker Okolie Odafa's shot while Nirmal Chhetri's strike took a ricochet off the bar.
For East Bengal everyone except Naoba Singh converted. East Bengal now face United SC in Wednesday's final.
