South Sudan international James Moga again got a brace as Pune FC continued a great run with a convincing win against United SC at home on Saturday evening.

In the afternoon, Dempo were made to fight for full points by Pailan Arrows and coach Santosh Kashyap got his first win of I-League 6 with his second team.

Othallo Tabia too scored for Pune FC at the Balewadi stadium as the home team dominated the proceedings from the start.

United SC, who ended East Bengal's unbeaten run in the last round, pulled one back early in the second half through CK Vineeth but a good show from goalie Abhra Mondal meant that was all they could manage on the night. http://www.hindustantimes.com/Images/Popup/2012/12/23-12-12-pg-21d.jpg

Pune FC are now third on the points tally with 23 points from 11 matches. United SC stay fifth with 17 from 12.

Coach Kashyap begins well

In Shillong, Santosh Kashyap could not have asked for a better start as ONGC coach. Foreigners Yusa Katsumi and Eric Brown notched up five-star performances in a comprehensive win.

ONGC now have 10 points from 12 outings and Lajong 13 points from as many.

Abranches shines for dempo

A brilliant solo effort from Joaquim Abranches, surging ahead and finishing with a crisp left-foot volley sealed a win for defending champions Dempo in Kolkata on Saturday.

Abranches had put Dempo ahead making the most of a schoolyard error from Pailan Arrows' goalie Ravi Kumar but Milan Singh's penalty had restored parity. Dempo now have 28 points from 12 games and Arrows 14 from 11.
